Fleet Service Clerks

Key Topics: Compensation

The company worked with the TWU to identify creative solutions for meeting the Fleet Service savings target.

The adjustments made as part of the "Me, too" eliminated the 2% base rate pay reduction that was part of the settlement proposal, and also include the following incremental increases throughout the life of the agreement:

  • 2.1% structural increase 12 months after date of signing (September 12, 2013)
  • 2.1% structural increase 24 months after date of signing
  • 2.1% structural increase 36 months after date of signing
  • 2.1% structural increase 48 months after date of signing
  • 2.1% structural increase 60 months after date of signing

Longevity pay will remain at current book.

The company will also compare American's Fleet Service maximum hourly pay rates to equivalents at Delta, United, Continental and US Airways 36 months after date of signing. If American's maximum hourly pay rates are below the average, an adjustment will be made.
